In addition to the diamond being graded by observing it with microscopes with 100x and 1000x degrees, a diamond is examined separately by 5-8 different gemologists to reach the values in the document. Clarity information is reached with appropriate lenses and color information is reached by looking at it with high-quality microscopes under the right light.
